All is not lost/ got this....
From my favorite Century 1600-99AD/ has a lot of "Ancient" themes.
AV Quadrupla dated MDCXXVI Parma Mint
    Odoardo Farnese Duke of Piacenza
obv: Duke in Ruffled Collar (man it must have been awfull to have to dress like that)
    rev: She Wolf
One of the nicest examples. lf (47).jpg lf (48).jpg

Now, that's the kind of wolf that would fit quite well in my Lupa Romana tray....

I thought you already have at least one of those, @panzerman, do you really need them all ?

John, That's a beautiful looking "hefty" gold coin :D! It's nice to see you posting coins other than the miniatures you've been acquiring lately .

Amazing coin. Want a good laugh ? I usually only bring out my 17th century Krause world coin catalog to research your new gold coins. lol Yours is in there.
(Italian States)Italy/Piacenza FR#917.2 , 2 DOPPIE denomination, Weight: 14g. , .986 gold... high purity of gold. Funny that my grades/values only go up to XF grade $4,250.00 wow....is your coin worth $10,000 then ? Thanks for sharing it with us. Such a beautiful design.

I like Canadian half dollars from 1937-1968. ;) and the caribou quarters from 1937-1968 + silver cameo proof versions. What part of Germany did you live in ?

We finally elected a "German" Pope aka/ "God's Rottweiler" aptly named since Rotties are mostly named after Gods.Still have no idea why Benedict retired. Here is my "Loki" ddf6e0fb821e33b32c3b03e137474642.jpg
