From Susan Headly's blog of Feb. 5th: When I visited the Philadelphia Mint this past Tuesday, I thought it was very odd that none of the three penny lines were running. The U.S. Mint usually has to make billions of them a year, representing more than half its overall production. Maybe this (the currency backwash) explains why the penny lines were silent... None of the tellers at my local bank even knew there was design change on the new Lincoln's, and none had seen any, or had any idea when they would receive any.
.......hi eric n. they should be located under the shoulder like all the cents since 1918, i believe. steve
