BTW, the modern Jefferson nickel with the face too big for the Obverse needs to go, imho. Either eliminate or redesign, preferably with a vintage throw back.
I doubt that St. Gauden's designs for the Eagle and Double-Eagle would even be approved nowadays. Not to mention, imagine the uproar that would ensue if the BEP reissued this note even with the corrected headdress.
No bison fans?! Where I live, there are numerous "Buffalo" herds, and lots of local meat for sale; all are full of American Bison!
Once the voting is finished, I will tabulate the results and forward them to the Treasury Department for their review and consideration. I'm sure they will comply with our wishes, after-all, we the "People" and we have spoken.
Just checked the views which were at 210 of which only 22 voted so far. I guess the majority doesn't care.
Unfortunately, we are not members of Congress or the hoity-toity Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee. You'll be lucky even to receive a form letter from the U.S. Treasury Department.
I can't find it, but years ago there was a B.C. comic where BC looks up "Buffalo" in Wiley's Dictionary. The dictionary says, "Buffalo: See Bison". So BC looks up "Bison" and it says, "Bison: Second largest city in New York State" (classic!)
How about a politicians face with a hole in the middle!! ie nothing between the ears!! You pick who it is!!!LOL
