My guess is 65+ CAC. Looks like a real blazer, nice pickup.

I went with MS 66 star ....if I'm interpreting it correctly, there might just be enough reflectivity for a semi pl/close to pl or it could have also received it for intense luster (this isn't common but is stated as one of the ways a coin can earn a star)....overall the coin is mark free and appealing with only the reeding hit on the cheek being of some concern

I went 65+, that reeding hit in the focal point hurts it IMO.

That is why I went 65. The coin is, unquestionably a gem grade. The hit on the cheek is fairly prominent—that might preclude a higher grade. Shame, as it is a beautifully lustrous coin.

I think it's MS64*. Seeing a few minor, yet noticeable marks. Excellent luster is evident.

    Note- voted MS64; appended * afterwards :)
Edit- updated vote; didn't realize I can re-cast.

    64. 66 if the reeding damage was not there, and 65 if it was there but not in such a focal area.

Premium Gem Luster and eye appeal but MS64 surfaces, yields MS65+

Thought about 65+, but that cheek mark negates the fabulous luster a bit.

    65. The hit on the cheek is keeping it from being a solid 66. Great luster, though.

MS-64. The reed mark on Booker T's face, the minor mark on his cheek bone plus the usual rough planchet marks on his chin make this an MS-64.

@johnmilton I agree with your (and others) that the reed mark is tough and lowers the grade. But, exactly as you say, the rough planchet marks are common on BTWs because the strike didn't smooth out the planchet. Since they are so common, do you think they lower the grade?

The planchet roughness can keep one from being an MS-67.

Lots of 65's, and a few pluses were guessed. Some of you will disagree with the grade, but I think they gave it the bump from 65/65+ because of the booming luster (which I think all of you picked up on). I think the grade is fair, and in line with what I would expect from any of the top 4.

    Thanks for playing!

I would've been in the 65 camp nice coin though
