Wonder if the mint, send them a few roll,s when they mint the coin with his image ,or a medal or something. I'm sure ,anybody knows the drill please post ?
But eventually they do mint medals with the president's image. And the US has minted commemorative coins with living people's images - Eunice Kennedy Shriver was just the most recent person:
The 1992 Olympic baseball dollar is an exact copy of a 91 Fleer Nolan Ryan baseball card even down to his stirrups. All they did was change the Texas logo to USA. It's 100 percent Nolan Ryan with his unique mechanics.
NO IT'S NOT!!!! [Narrator - it was!] I'd like to make a pointless loud disagreement in honor of the Inauguration!
It's an uncanny and unintentional resemblance not a likeness. The U S Mint did not produce or advertise that coin to honor Nolan Ryan.
That’s a first. Never heard of an unintentional basically perfect copy of some one from everything from their arm action, their stride, the mound, their stirrups, their other elbow, their height during delivery and there’s more but sure.......... That’s absolutely the Nolan Ryan card on the coin.
Most recent was Nancy Reagan. Her first spouse coin was struck before she died, but she passed before it went on sale.
and just because I did some google the answer to the only living President to appear on a US coin is Calvin Coolidge
When you look at the card I’d go further than to say his likeness, more like a copy of it but you have the right idea. It obviously wasn’t a Nolan Ryan dollar, but it absolutely is Nolan Ryan.
I'd say that for sure. My son has all his cards from the rookie card to when he was with the Rangers.
Thomas Kilby, the then Governor of Alabama was on the 1921 Alabama Centennial Commemorative Half Dollar.
