I didn't want to steal anyone elses thread so heres my question, in regards to photoing a slab. How do they take obverse, reverse and sticker pics and join them as one? Ive been trying to figure it out in Gimp, layering them but with no success.
Create a new blank image and give it a black background Its really not that hard. Use the Circle Selector on image Obverse. Set it to automatic. Get a good circle around your coin. It might take a few practice tries. Once you had it cut and then move you your bank backgrondimage and paste into. Do the same for the reverse. Anchor layer under the layer menu and then save
Amazing. Two comments about the 1995 cent. 1. Which side is doubled? But worse. 2. NGC labeled it "DOUBLE DIE", not the correct term "DOUBLED DIE"!!! Next thing you know they'll be calling them "pennies".
It's hard to see but the obverse, IN GOD WE and LIBERTY. The terminology didn't even register.:rolling:
Thanks Ruben, and nice pic for your first try andrew. Did you cut and past the coin label on the background also? And also Nice coin!!!!!! That one is on my list.
