Is this the ultimate key date for lincolns? Photo courtesy of coinlink.com. haven't seen any of these for sale at all, not that I could afford them. The redbook doesn't even list a value for it, and the PCGS prices are absurd. How many of these are in existance?
PCGS has certified 20, but says that the mintage is 15. Go figure! FYI, Heritage last sold an AU58 for $45,000 and also sold a 64 RD for $126,500.
I just got a 95 DDO. That is my first and will probably be my only DD. I took a chance on NTC again. They called it a 69 RD. I should be so lucky, but hopefully they are not too far off.
energy drinks....don't drink them on worknights:rolling: I up and going to outpost Rueben tonight, lol Just kidding
Not good enough to show much. This is all he showed except a slab so small I had trouble reading the grade. It was enough I could verify that it was a DDO and it only cost $50.
Arrrg Harry... quit adding stuff to my 100% completion goal... That's a hefty price for that coin IMO
I heard a story a few weeks ago, a guy finds this same coin in his pocket change from a local grocery store. What are the odds, he looks at it and determines it is in fact a 69 S DDO. So, he takes it to this coin dealer here in Lancaster (Steinmetz if I remember right) and is promptly offered $25,000 for it. A dream find indeed!

Say a prayer for me, my mom called me today and said she came across a roll of 1969 S Mintmark Pennies still in the original fed wrapping today when she was going thru her great aunt's stuff- shes sending me the roll... said they look almost brand spankin' new. That will be fun to go thru.
