I'm quite surprised to see that there is a completed listing and someone actually did sell one for that amount on 3/14. It was a PCGS PR70 DCAM. The highest sale other than that one was $146.50 for an NGC PF70. We ordered two of each, kept 3 and gave one away to a friend that forgot to order one. I like the coin, but I wouldn't have paid that much for it.
Wish I would have ordered....but if I had, the mint would still have them in stock and it would never ammount to anything! LOL! Speedy
They took my order, but placed it on Backorder. This is possibly due to their recent announcement that they were suspending all but bullion coin production in both gold and silver in order to keep up with bullion coin demand. Whether they'll be able to fulfill my order or just move on is hard to say. rono
well one of my dearest friends on the forum ordered one for me bless his heart. a true gentleman and one of the best people i ever met
I really wonder who's buying them all. I haven't seen any publicity on this offering. I was thinking they'd be lucky to sell 200,000.
Click the "Completed Listings" option. Yes, the 70s sell high. Always have. OGP coins went for as little as $32 (inc shipping). $10 less than issue price. Most OGP coins were break even. Many coins slabbed 69 lost money (counting cost of slabbing). Since a bulk submission returns a mix of 69s and 70s, it's hard to say if the whole batch of 'em made money or not. It mostly depends on how many 70s come back.
Local coin dealer jus sold out & was charging $48 proof $42 unc this is socal This pricing common for modern comm when they come out?
http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&identifier=4000 mint still has em. This product will not sell out (not even close).
I don't agree on the US Mint having lot of Lincoln's available and will sell out - just read this link... http://www.silvercoinstoday.com/us-mint-silver-coin-sales-decline-mar-13/10697/
