What to do with your Ultra High Relief

Well if it comes back a PCGS MS70 I'd sell it.

I'd even pre-sell it for that matter.

We sent one in for a customer and got word from PCGS that it's a 70! We also know another dealer that sent in 5 and 3 have been graded 70.
We have sent a few in of ours and still waiting for grade but seeing the numbers so far there just may be quite a few 70s.

MS69 fetching about the same as raw. Me? I'd take the quick $1500-2000 profit and buy a raw or 69.

Insane money being paid and willing to bet it will drop substantially.

Thoughts/opinions?

I agree strike while you can make a few quick bucks and move on and find a nice 69. I sold a couple of rolls of the new Linclon cents for 150.00 Took the wife to Christmas Inn for her birthday. I only had a buck in them. I'll get some more later and you could do the same. Ice

 

I agree with you too.

 

Check the shared orders page on the PCGS site, a HUGE percentage of these are coming back as MS-70 !!!! I have not checked the pop report, but I always scan the shared orders, I could not believe the amount of 70's they are giving out.

This could mean two things....

PCGS has loosened, or

The mint really has taken the time and made the effort to produce a truly outstanding coin of the highest quality.


I believe it is the latter, as the subs I looked at were not bulk submissions, but onsies and twosies at a time, 70 over and over again....order after order.

 

As of this morning 67% have graded MS70....398 coins !!!

Indeed I believe it is the quality of craftsmanship from the US Mint. The temptation to sell is fleeting....even with the prospect of the aftermarket value falling. I'll stand pat and hold on to mine regardless.
