What happened to the 3 strike rule? Good for them, armed citizens protecting their lives and property. No telling what those guys were high on when they went in, could have done anything.

Nah, that would have made them stay at home playing XBOX, I would be more concerned about him using PCP as he had been caught with before. PCP and gun stick ups don't go down well.

So true! I would comment further but it falls outside the rules for this Forum so I will leave it at that. ;)

    Ribbit :)

Good for them. People are entitled to protect themselves any way they can.

Mind you, there are proportionally fewer gun deaths in communities where gun ownership is tightly controlled. With suitable laws in place, maybe the robbers nor the coin shop staff would all have been less likely to kill anyone.

Do I feel sorry for the dead man's family? Yes. And relieved and happy for them too, since he won't be around to cause any more harm.

A proper reply does not fit the purpose of this forum, but I wanna say that, for an individual, it usually doesn't matter whether or not the country as a whole would be safer if people had sticks rather than firearms. For the individual, the truth is that thugs DO have guns, and he acts accordingly in order to protect himself and what's his.

Granted! :high5: You need to be able to tell the difference between what's wrong and can be changed, and what's wrong but can't be. So if you can't change something that's bad, why then you simply have to learn to live with it.

No way do I blame those guys for keeping firearms - and learning to use them properly - to defend themselves from the thugs.

Where did you see that bit about the mother?

Watkins' mother, along with dozens of other people, showed up to the shop just outside of the crime scene tape. They were visibly agitated.

Do you actually think that the dead man's family should be killed? I can't think of any way that statement can be defended.

In my opinion that was a proper use of a fire arm. This sounds like legit self defense and the coin dealer should not be punished. Though it should be looked into pretty closely to confirm all of the facts. Is the coin dealer being charged?
