I think someone got a cherrypick on this one, but I could be mistaken. Is this the 58/7 overdate or is it just pmd that is causing the effect on the wing? Seems pretty high grade, looking like couple hundred bucks uptick if it is an overdate Thoughts? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1858-Flying-Eagle-Cent-Stunning-Details-Features-1c-Copper-Penny-No-Reserve-/254828254344?hash=item3b54f29488%3Ag%3ABmMAAOSw7Q1f92Ij&nma=true&si=UlZ9HZ3CfyN33669RnSUbWHayp8%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
I don't think so. I had one 10-15 years ago and sold it so I could get a straight 1858 plus other coins I wanted. I don't see the PUP down by the date.
I don't think so, either. There will be a readily-visible be a die dot above the first 8 on the 8/7. The broken wing occurs on coins that aren't the 8/7, as well as those that are.
@Treashunt @LRC-Tom wasnt aware of the broken wing variety without the overdate. thats good info to know and ill have to spend more time looking into it.
