Ordered mine. Was going to order 10 total (ordered with some guys from work) but there is a 5 order limit on this item. I see people doing presales on Ebay for this item. Wonder what they are going to do when they can't fill their sales.

I wasn't about to pay what they wanted at first on ebay, as more from denver hit the streets the price came down, some. Still way above what the mint is selling 2 roll sets for. I just ordered 10 sets to put away (oh by the way the mint has them on back order) Now I will wait to see if my sister of neice can pick some up at a bank in California or denver. With the asking price for a box on ebay, I can wait longer. On the 5 roll limit, we use 2 addresses.

Accd to several tellers at my sundry banks, they are not shipping them into this Federal Reserve District at all.

I will never pay that much for a roll that will rust, in fact I will wait until the bronze examples come out in a set.

buy the clad proof set, silver proof set, mint unc set and 5 pc lincoln silver dollar and cent set. so that you can get the 95% copper cent.

Already get those on subscription every year except the Lincoln set which I planned on getting when it comes out but thanks for telling me what I should buy with my money. And I see you didn't answer my question on whether you got the lincoln P & D rolls from the bank yet. I would like a few rolls of the new Lincolns since I am a collector and don't know if and when I will be able to get both the P & D from the bank. That is why I am buying these from the mint. Please buy what you want from the Mint and stop telling everyone else what they should buy with their own money.

I tend to loathe mint products, but the Lincoln bicentennial might be an exception.

The last I read , the mint distributes the P minted coins east of the Mississippi and the D minted coins west of the Mississippi. I know some people have swapped rolls with other, depending on their geographical location, to get each mint.

If one want orgianl rolls, I do not see anything wrong with buying them from the mint. $4.95 for shipping and handling is really not that buy in my opinion. I do not plan to get any but that is the way I see it and I am sticking to my story:mouth:.

That is correct. I swap the Presidential dollars with someone on the east coast. Problem it's been very hard if not impossible so far to find the lincoln rolls at the banks. That will possibly change in the future but I wanted to get a few rolls from the mint to be sure. Tough pill to swallow the prices they are charging not to mention shipping.

That's right, you guys just keep dissing the 2009 T1 coins. Let me tell you, the scarcity has already been created and established. If you think you'll be able to walk into a bank ANY time, days, months, years from now and get "free" 2009 T1 P/D rolls, you're dead wrong. If you think, yea, I'll just buy them on ebay or from a dealer or wherever for $1 roll someday in the future....you're dead wrong again.

Let me point something out for the hundredth time: Only 194.4 million P mint T1 coins were made, that's the lowest mintage since the 1955-S Lincoln and UNREAL low for a modern cent coin. The collector/hoarder demand ALONE has inhaled any coins released thus far. THE MINT WILL MAKE NO MORE 2009 P/D TYPE ONE COINS EVER AGAIN! They have to focus on making the next three type coins they are obligated to produce by law.

The value of the T1 coins WILL ONLY RISE in value from here on! It's called supply and demand. So, go ahead and keep living your pipe dream that there will be billions of T1 coins and you'll see them in the "bottom of fountains" and by the "box full at the bank".....IT IS NOT GOING TO EVER HAPPEN. Face it, if you want them, the longer you wait, the more you're going to have to pay the piper.

Well anyway I have one P and one D log cabin for my new page in the Dansco lincoln album which I bought on ebay for $4.00. I also have 4 rolls coming from the mint. Are these rolls that I am getting from the mint a different composition then the ones that came from Kentucky?

I came to this same realization when checking local banks for them. Not one to be found, NONE nada! That is why I bought my limit from the mint.
