Sacagawea w/ reverse die aberration & double die

I was hunting through rolls when i stumbled upon this reverse die aberration (wounded eagle) and what appears to be double die. Tell me what you think?

Also there is tape on the face. How do i safely remove the clear tape without damaging the coin?

Not a Doubled Die variety

 

The wounded eagle die gouges actually go thru the breast of the eagle. These look very similar to the same size. Can you take some better photos?

I think we have seen these gouges before, they aren't considered the wounded eagle, but a neat variety.

I do not know what the variety you show is called.

This won’t fit on a slab label, but is the truth...imo...Spark

btw, soaking in acetone will remove the tape.

 

welcome to CT. what you are seeing isn't a true double die coin it called mechanical or machine doubling. A lot of new members have sent photos of their coins to CT and they think are doubled dies. Doubled dies are born in the die making process and mechanical or machine doubling is often caused by an aging die reverberating or shifting during the strike - hitting the coin twice. check out this great article, it helped me understand the difference. https://coins.thefuntimesguide.com/machine-doubling-doubled-dies good luck
