Plating error?

    This is a 1982-D Large Date Zinc penny that look likes the plating didn’t happen fully. Was just curious what you guys think.
    I’m pretty new to this...

    PES - Post Environmental Stain

    Could be coffee, soda or harsh chemical stain.
    I call it a CHC - Cup Holder Coin.
