Here is an ancient coin I recently was given and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what, how old it is and what it was worth. It is apx 13/16 of an inch across and weighs apx 4 grams. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Very nice coin!

Though the style is very similar to Chola coins of India, your's is a Sri Lankan massa coin.

On reverse, the 6 nagri characters of issuer "Ra Ja Li La Va Ti" is visible very bold and clear. So, this coin was issued by Queen Lilavati of Sri Lanka somehwere between AD 1197-1211.

    Thanks Bgarg,
That would seems correct as it was with several coins from Sri Lanka. Do you have any idea as to its value.
    Thanks
