Today I want to share a YouTube video and some pictures of a new deck of playing cards created by the Kings Wild Project. They are called the Legal Tender Deck with a Paper Money/Currency theme!

A little history..
Back in November of 2017 I was celebrating 10,000 post with an introduction to my Playing Card Collection. Yes.. Another hobby I have.

I stopped collecting for about 2 years and started up again. I will be showing more new decks in the near future!

I pulled up Kings Wild Project's site -- they've got TONS of very creative and beautifully executed decks.

I always enjoy seeing your various interests. I love playing cards, too. My step grandfather had me learning to deal, call and play all types of poker games and hands at age 6ish.

 

I could have used some of those face cards last night playing poker, I was the first one to go home.

 

41,000 likes? I think we need to petition Peter for a "Remove one like" button. LOL

 

Heres a set I picked up at an ANA coin show.

 

I don’t collect decks of cards, I just collect the Jokers. Doesn’t take up as much room and easier to display.

Ed, I'm so angry with you right now. Because of you I just spent more on playing cards than I've spent on them in my entire life, all tolled.

Those cards are beautiful! I ordered three decks! I also ordered a couple of the Arthurian decks.

Please stop posting! You're gonna break my bank!

Obviously j/k. Thanks for the heads up and the link. They're going to make beautiful gifts to the lucky recipients.

 

I have a few hundred of them stored away somewhere in the attic. Have not been collection them lately. I don't look for any in particular. There must be thousands of different backs on playing cards. You can never get a complete collection because they just keep printing new designs. That is what I liked about it, just kept getting different ones without any pressure to find a complete set.set

 

I will not stop posting!

That's cool! And what's neat about collecting playing cards is that they can be easily stored. Packs are not that big but they can get heavy if you store too many in a medium size box or container.

Does No. 13 refer to the 13 original colonies?

 

Great question.. But I don't know. Maybe.
The Kings Wild Project card company uses the No. 13 on some of their other cards. I think it's related to Lucky 13.
