Yeh, and a CAC sticker too (out of the image).
But I don't pay extra for those.
I bid as if they weren't there.

That's a beauty! I am currently focused on a VF-XF middle date set, too.

Each coin is struck from a set of unique obverse and reverse dies. "N" refers to Noyes, who published maybe the first definitive book on the die marriages of this series. The "7" refers to the unique die marriage (paired obverse and reverse dies) that the coin was struck from.

Actually, the N stands for Newcomb. Howard R. Newcomb authored the first major work on the middle and late date large cents.

Thanks for sharing with us your coin. I only have a RAW 1837 One Cent that my father left me. I haven't sent it in to get it graded. Any ideas?
Again a big THANKS for showing us your coin.

Paying extra for the green bean is a rip off. A long time collector who has just recently passed away was at one of the LARGE coin shows when CAC first came on the scene and they were walking down the isles basically selling the beans for $10.00 per coin and in some cases just handing them out. I have never offered more than NORMAL value since.

Does the mint still do that stuff?

That’s way above my pay grade. I get it. Thanks
