Here's another of my recent acquisitions. Nothing spectacular but a great die crack from about 12 to 6 on the reverse. You have to look closely. I didn't know it was there until I made the images.
A superb war nickel with great luster and good eye appeal. I have only two questions. Why is this coin not in your NGC registry set and why are your beautiful photos attached to your registry set? You know if you add this you will jump from 33 to 32 in the rankings. I was considering starting a new registry set of war nickels that are untoned to see how it would compare to my rainbow toned sets.
I forgot I had a War Nickel Registry set. I put my 1943/2-P in and then stopped. I actually have 3 more MS-67 War Jeffs. I finished one set of War Jeffs, various grades, all Full Steps except the 1943/2-P. Then I decided I'd do a MS-67 matched set which is what this coin belongs to (only have 4 so far). Now I'll have to go do some updating.
The Cointalk members are well represented in the NGC Jefferson War Nickel registry. We have at least 5 of the top 45 sets. If you have 3 more MS67's you might jump into the top 25.
Now all I have to do is send mine in to be graded. I'd take another of those spots. Heck, if I just put in the ones I've accumulated I bet I'd have a decent set.
