I was talking about coin roll hunting with a friend and was asked if I find a lot of foreign coins in coin rolls. I had to say no because I could not remember the last time I did find a foreign coin in pocket change or a coin roll.....I would say, it's been over 20 years since I found any coin that was not from the US of A. But I was searching through a cent roll just a little while ago and I found a German D, 2 Peennig ... Think I spelled that right...I like to look at these coins and think,"Wow....wonder how long it took this guy to get here?" Always cool to see coins that you don't see all the time. From 1945 for a number of years, a large amount of coinage and notes found their way to Britain in the pockets of Soldiers so it wouldn't surprise me at all if American Servicemen brought some back too

Here in Maryland we have a large immigrant population, and I find South American coins pretty often. Also see a fair number of Canadian coins, which frequently are the same size as the U.S. counterpart. I consider it a bonus, because I collect World Coins and it has been a long time since I traveled to Latin America, so it sometimes adds to my collection.
