Caveat: I'm horrible at grading from a picture. Only "eh" in real life.

Opinion: My guesstimate, without seeing the reverse, would be VF+ to AU - probably VF (high end) to EF.

Caveat: I'm not a fan of third party graders and locking coins up for life.

Opinion: I don't think it would be worth it. I think it costs a pretty penny to get a coin graded and sealed in plastic. And I don't think the value of your circulated quarter to any collector would much exceed the cost of sending it it.

I'm certain more experienced graders and TPG-fans will give you their opinions.

In any case, I consider you very lucky! I have never held a W quarter. I have never found one, despite looking with some religious fervor.

Very best regards and welcome to CoinTalk!

    Thanks for your input, David.

I am now up to 41 total and just need the last two 2020’s to complete my full set of W’s (including 2019’s). This bat seems to be in better condition than most I have found. I have already cased them all in some plastic coin holders with a foam insert from amazon.
I hope you get to find some W’s soon!

Highest grades I've received for all my Ws have been 66. This is my last hope to beat 66. 20201214_104300.jpg 20201214_104419.jpg

It's not worth the cost to grade it. Just put it in a flip and be happy you've got it.

How much do they charge for grading a coin on average?

I'm at approx $27 per coin. They will have the early find pedigree added to them. That includes shipping and return shipping.

Oh yeah...I think I just might’ve chosen the wrong career path...who knew you could make so much looking at a coin??? Thanks for the info. I’ve never sent a coin in but I have always wanted to.
