I figure I am going to attribute all these coins I got the past few months and I try not to buy anymore coins till I get them done...I might be better off trying to quit smoking before I say I am not buying anymore coins.
Wildwinds will be your friend. EDIT: Also, that is a great set of coins. I'm peanut butter and jealous.
That is a great resolution. I should do that too. I have made progress this year figuring out what I have but I have a long way to go... John
It is great to see someone with a group of coins each of which is easily identifiable and worth owning for years to come. If you get stumped, just ask. We will give a hint or two as needed.
I wish my New Year's resolutions were this much fun. Usually they are about exercising more or drinking less expensive beer or reading Jane Austen or some other lost cause. That's a great group of coins - you should have a lot of fun attributing them. Keep us posted.
Nice batch of silver! Good luck with the quitting smoking. I know firsthand how tough that is. My new year's resolution was to fix the busted headlight on my battered '02 Honda Accord, which got crunched (along with one fender) during an unfortunate highway encounter with a deer. I got pulled over for the dead headlight by police and troopers four separate times in subsequent months, but managed to squeak by with only verbal warnings and no ticket every time, once I explained, and they saw the fender damage. So I procrastinated. In the end, I didn't get the whole headlight assembly I needed (too expensive), but finally did get a new bulb working in there, which will hopefully reduce the presence of flashing blue lights in my rearview mirror for a while, at least. And that's probably more than you ever wanted to know about me and my old jalopy car.
Righ before Christmas, I had heart surgery. I’ve always been in good shape, and I’m only 47, so this is genetic. This provides some perspective though. My ny resolution is to try to enjoy life even more, and to a larger extent ignore people that take me down or frustrate me, for example by finding their cruel little way to devalue people that are different from themself. Other than that; train harder, collect smarter and keep smiling.
Thank you! And back at you Had to run to catch the bus the other day, and it felt like the 2021 shape will be better than the 2020 version.
There are a couple of these that are some of the first I bought. I feel comfortable now in how to attribute these. At first I was thinking attribute meant something else. I pretty much got the faces/rulers down on the more easy to come by coins and a good idea of the different images on the reverses of what they mean/stand for. it was when I learned of the many different reverses that threw me for a loop. Here I orignally thought there was one coin for each ruler and then everyone was saying how its pretty much impossible collecting all known coins, I thought yeah a few are probably hard to get, this was before I seen there was over 40,000 known different coins just of a few centuries. (some which there is like only 3 found) its a never ending crazy, beautiful story/ride with roman coins. I am hooked bigtime. Its just as much of the story/history than the awsomeness of the coins that got me after I started collecting. Reading the info you all post here of different coins you all add to your collections has upped my education alot. I thank you all.
