I'm thinking about buying some uncut $2 bills from a guy at my local antique mall and he wants (roughly) $65 for it... is it a good deal or no? (I do not have any pictures)

EDIT: It is a 2x3 sheet.

I'd pass if I were you. I don't believe that the BEP produced 2x3 sheets of $2.00 notes. A previous owner might've cut off the bottom or top notes.

    Okay... I assume he over-priced they're 2x3's

I may be wrong... My mom has pointed out that my anti-depressants are messing with my memory... I just know they were 1976's, uncut, priced at $65

There were never sheets of three made but four, yes. I purchased several back then. You are looking at an impaired sheet. This makes it a bit pricey.

Is 2X3 a measurement, like 24” by 36” ? Currency sheets are referred to by how many notes are on the sheet. There are 4-subject, 8, 16 and 32 subject 1976 $2 sheets. How many notes are on the sheet, what district is it and is it regular or star notes.

What does 2X3 mean @DarkRage666...read my post. How many notes and what district.

2x3 sounds like it has already been cut.

Two notes by three notes... Is that clearer? And idk what district... I'm going off of my memory

So 6 notes total ? If so, it’s possibly an 8-subject sheet that’s had two trimmed off.

Did they ever release a uncut sheet of 32 1976 Two dollar star notes? I have only seen the 16 sheet of Two dollar star notes.

The BEP did print and release 32-subject sheets. Here’s a sale from 2019 where a lot of six 32-subject sheets sold for $660.00 at Heritage.

When I sold some on ebay several months ago, the range for a sheet of (16) 1976 $2 notes that sold was around $100-$120. So $65 for a sub-sheet of six does not sound unreasonable to me, considering antique malls can have high overhead costs. But depends on that the sub-sheet is crisp, and how clean are the cuts after it left the BEP. Besides, 2x3 would be more manageable than a 2x8 if you want to frame it.
