I have been silently watching this debacle, lol. For 1, we are being bull'd here. This coin is NOT in a PCGS holder, they have never used a white plastic holder.
NGC 66, PCGS 65 both red NGC 66, PCGS 65, both full RD Don't go wild boys and girls they often come this way. 1. Was found early on 2. Many were saved. 3. It is not a really rare coin even in this grade. It's a nice coin and I can't imagine what the dealer was thinking but that's why we do it ain't it, sometimes all is right with the world!
Nice doubled die that;s the king of the 72 doibled dies , I would say a MS 66 or better a wonderful coin JC
That is two different coins, the purple one i bought raw from stacks, and the other is NOT a pcgs, I said i sent them both to PCGS yesterday on a 5 day turn around. so lets give it a week or so, and ill let you know what it comes back as... If i said one of these 72DDO's was PCGS i was mistaken, both of these coins are in no case yet, the red 72 is in one of those square plastic things with the 4 screws.... there i hope that clears that up 2 different coins, both raw
Stella, my apologies- I posted this response in the wrong section. Your response on this post seem fine re: the 72/72. The raw coin from Stacks and the other in a Capital Holder (4 screws), and you apparently mispoke about PCGS. Edited: I was responding to your other post. I will keep my opinions to my self. Sorry for any consternation
With all the implications tossed around throughout this thread, I think I'll just wait for the coins to come back from PCGS. Shhheeeesh. Bruce
