Howdy YA'LL, I'd be interested in hearing other CT members opine on these 2, or any other 'reality' shows now 'gracing' our TV airwaves. J.T.
I just saw an episode of Blind Frog Ranch... weird and funny, to me And they found what looks like a Spanish gold coin in it!
don't watch either of those i watch gold rush you actually learn and the gold is real is anyone getting discovery+.
I watched the Curse of Oak Island, but got tired of them never finding anything. I'm addicted to Storage Wars! I love watching morons argue.
Yeah, but they are all reruns and it doesn't appear there will be any new ones. Two had heart attacks and Jarod and Brandy split up. Oh well, there'll always be reality shows without any "real" in them.
Typical Oak Island weekly script: >20 minutes of commercials >20 minutes of rehashing previous episodes >10 minutes of oohs & aahs over a rusty nail >10 minutes of "War Room"/Internet bull sessions
The Curse of Oak Island is my favorite show. Even if they don't find a thing, I enjoy the historical aspect. But they've got to get rid of that damn narrator. If people want to see past episodes, they can watch them on the History Channel's website.
I enjoy Oak Island and have been interested in that story ever since reading about it as a kid. No, they never find the treasure but they have found a lot of things that are just hard to explain away and definitely make you wonder. I agree on the narrator being annoying, but I do feel like the men searching for the treasure themselves are sincere. Sure, Marty is a businessman and is probably making money off of this, but I think these guys sincerely think there's something there and are doing their best to find it. Unfortunately I read there won't be a new season for awhile.
9ball, I watched the episodes that he took part and upon further consideration he did come across a rather manic. Perhaps he was on meds of some sort, but IMO was fairly young to buy the farm! J.T.
I watched those episodes, too! I just didn't think that his life was in a downward spiral that would end up like that.
This one is interesting too. There is a bit more info to go on to make you think there actually was gold somewhere. Whether they'll find it is a different question.
When I first saw Mark Balelo on Storage Wars, I called him "Mark Pendejo"...he seemed like he didn't have a clue what he was doing.
