Photos didn't turn out as focused, but here they are. I'll get better taken. The reverse is the dark side of the moon. Z
A few more newps. A raw 1926-D Buffalo nickel. Choice VF, still displaying some original mint luster. 1903-S Barber Dime in PCGS VF20 . . . A raw VF 1933-S Walker . . . An elusive 1892-S Barber Quarter. NGC graded it VF35, but I think it is a hair better than that . . .
Of all the coins on the first page, I like this one the best. It's a nice, natural-looking (to me) '21-S W-L 50c. I would grade it F15 and would love to have one that looked this good.
My last purchase of the year. A new 7070 the other one was looking a little rough around the edges. I'll be happy when it arrived so I transfer the coins. It has all the pages I want plus the Bicentennial Page
Under $200 and appears to be flawless. Beautiful coin. Reflection of iPad near T in Liberty; specks, etc... on the reverse, are on the holder.
I acquired this coin (1894 Morgan) about a year ago when I was focused on Morgan Dollars but never posted it. I don't think I was even a member of this site yet but it goes along with my "Key Dates" collecting theme. I'm still trying to figure out how to narrow my focus since key dates isn't really a category. I could attempt to obtain a type set (I think) with one key date for each major US Coin but I still like the idea of completing a set of all dates and mint marks for at least one US Coin... Right now it would be Barber Half Dollars. Any ideas are welcome but I have a habit of jumping around in different areas for Key Dates (Peace, Morgan, Ikes, Barber, Walking Liberty, Franklin, Kennedy and Washington Quarters).
And just picked up another Barber Half earlier today: 1896-S VF (Raw Coin). I'm really liking the challenge of this series... almost every date/mint is scarce @ Fine or better but the only real "Stopper" is the 1892-O "Micro O" variety.
