Hi All, I have received an excellent start of a Lincoln set from a very generous member flyers10. He also sent me a 7100 Dansco album (Lincoln 1908-2006). Thank you very much Craig for your generosity. I have been trying to complete several US sets but it is a very difficult task for me since I live in Egypt. I want to try to add to this Lincoln set but I need to know; 1. Is it possible to be completed? (I am talking of adding all the missing coins whatever the grade and condition) 2. Is there any rare/scarce coins that will be impossible to find or at least difficult to be found? Thanks :smile
Tell us what you have and in what grade you seek Tell us what you have and in what grade you seek. Your question is too open ended. Be more specific.
The short answers are: 1. Yes (but several are expensive even in the low grades). 2. Find? Not anymore and probably not since 1950. Purchase? Yes, there are plenty of them for sale.
the 1909 s, 1909 s vdb, 1914d and 1931 s are going to run about $1400 or so if you buy them all in G-4. The 10-s, 11-s, 12-s, 13-s, 14-s 15-s, 22-d and 24-d are each going to cost somewhere between $10-$50 each.

Since you are in Egypt you may want to consider purchasing the 1909 S VDB and 1914 D certified or slabbed. There are many "fakes" of these coins.
It's 100% possible. Truthfully, if you went to a decent coin show in America you could probably fill a Lincoln Cent Dansco album that day, a major show (FUN, Baltimore, Long Beach, Mid States, etc) you could probably fill it with Gem Uncircs. Problem being, there's a handful that are quite expensive, not rare at all, but expensive. The 1909 S-VDB is $1,000++ for a nice one, but it's not all that rare.
