These are Asain coins of some type. I am not sure. They should be around WWI or WWII era. Anyones help is appreciated. Coin #1
#4 Japan, ¥10, Meiji 41 (1966). Bronze, Y#73a, mintage 229,900,000. Value <25¢. The other three are all undated Republic of China, 1, 10 and 5 yuan respectively. (It's pretty late at night, and I'm too sleepy to look them up in Krause right now, but if no one else posts the info I'll try and do it in the morning..)
I found them. They are Taiwan, Republic of China. They are all still in circulation. Thank you for your help.

I finally downloaded the Krause Guide of world coins. Figured it was probably about time. I appreciate all your help though.
Thank you for correcting me Gary. Technically, they are dated Republic Year 70, which does indeed equate to 1981. I said I was sleepy!
Three Taiwan coins are dated year 70 of the Republic (began 1911) also is the first coins in this series. Was a big change in coin formate in 70 (1981)--rare year is 72 due to low mintage. These are currently in circulation and easy found. Fourth coin is Japanese. Am currently working on complete Taiwan set--1949 to present.
Actually the Republic dates to Feb. 12, 1912, when the 6-year-old last Qing Emperor's regent abdicated on his behalf. 1911 plus the Republic Year therefore gives the western date.
Diplomatic: said nicely, but not precisely. Taiwan is to be called Taiwan POC, for Province of China. All the UN documents I saw in the last six months referring to them did it that way. It's only a matter of time.
