Does this 1891 Indian Looked Cleaned?

    What is recolored? How do you recolor a coin? :confused:

    I also agree with you that the 89 is cleaned. I used to make my worthless bronze coins looks exactly like that by cleaning them with vinegar. :mouth:

    This is a good rule, but only deals with false positives, not with misses. In other words, if you think it's cleaned but in reality it's not, no harm done. The problem is when you think it's not clean when in reality it is.

    This is why beginners (such as me) need to train their eye by asking and learning. :)

    Jack , I can see it being dipped , the wierd color , but scrubbed , how can you tell I don't see any hairlines:D

    Many ways , heat , heck they even sell color darkner for copper .
