It's about 64 RD. Be sure to check the die markers, popular coin to forge.

I would go MS64R also without larger photo to check the fields. I would be in the $400-450 range with a return guarantee against non-genuine. If no return, I would check the die careful and make offer based on probability of genuine.

For the record, you didn't do anything at all that shouldn't happen again. That comment was extremely rude and unwarranted.

You need to realize stella, that for every member of Coin Talk who views these threads there are 3 or 4 more who are not members - and who cannot post. Then you have thsoe who are members but do not post in threads like these because they are not confident in their grading ability. Then there are those who just don't have anything to say.

As for the possible grade of this coin, Mike may well be right. The coin appears to have been wiped to me.

Maybe the dealer is brighter than you give him credit for and it is a lower grade than you think, or hope, it is. But you're sending it to PCGS so we'll see.

Saying "... he is like 90 so I get away with alot, but I don't take advantage." is a little incongruous. Each time you "get away" with something you have taken advantage. Saying you're even now doesn't make up for any wrong.

    Not back from PCGS yet?

If you only saw it under plastic (first post) how do you know it's not?

It's PCGS? Do you mean you got it back already? Or was it really a PCGS coin to begin with?

Pardon the cynic in me but I think there's more (or less) here than meets the eye.

I dont know what iIsaid before, but if i said it was PCGS, i was thinking of another coin, I just bought this coin and its not graded, I also paid a little to much in my eyes. NOW I will be sending it off to PCGS and we will know soon.

As for "Getting away with something" Its not that at all, but when a dealer doesnt see something that I do see, then im buying it for what he thinks its worth, im doing nothing wrong by cherrypicking through someones lack of knowledge.

NOW whats the "I" word, can somene fill me in on this matter...

well, this has certainly turned into one of the most twisted threads I'd read in a while...and I read some doozies.

all that is missing is spock and a few chain mails.
