I was just given 2020 pennies and really don't want to go through them, has there been anything interesting found on the 2020 at all?

I've opened and dumped probably 10 boxes of 2020 cents this year. I didn't even bother looking at them.

Not even worth the hernia lugging boxes of 2020 cents around.
How much over $25 does the bank have to pay the coin service for a box?

So I don't really get to decide what my boxes are obviously. So I happily take whatever my bank gives me.
As for cost per box, I asked the vault manager and he said they have a contract with Loomis that doesn't have a per-box fee. They basically order whatever they want (within reason I'm sure) and it is delivered. I assume if you were to breakdown whatever their contract costs, there would be a "per-box fee", but I imagine it is minimal.

Good idea. Your eyes will be better-off from the new coin glare. I went through part of a 2020 box a while ago, saved a few rolls, and gave it up when the eyes started screaming at me. I hope you find an unusual error!

The only aberrations I’ve seen are deterioration. You can find slight extra rims on the obverse and an “extra shoulder-like” hump (to varying degrees) to the left of the banner at the rim about 7:30 o’clock on the reverse.

I got my first 2020 cents from circulation in May and have kept about 15 well-struck coins since then...Spark

I hadn't thought about it, but my wife and I use our VISA for everything. We started doing that when the stores said they didn't accept cash nor give change. My wife and I found it was easier to use the VISA than carry cash, or at least not as much as we use to. Because of this, neither of us have gotten any change for several months. Nothing knew to look at, now.

I found a 2020 wddo-001, but that's about the best known variety. You can always look for other errors though like strike throughs

Pre 1982 Lincoln cent fantastic, post 1982 Lincoln cent a disaster. To many useless anomalies that may appear as errors but are not. I have gone through many boxes of '20s and have found many oddities that turned out to be normal to the strike. Oh well, I'll keep searching for the motherload, it's fun. Thanks for the post.

if we don't bother, if we don't do the labor of looking thru these coins then we chance not finding that coin that could be the "key". don't stop guys.

The down side...you may get bored at some point if nothing pops up. I kept a box of 2014s for way too long. Nothing in that box but about 4 different die pairs with various chips/cracks...but nothing of large interest or value. Got 1/3 into it, put it aside for a rainy day...many rainy days later...I packed up the 1/3 and returned the box.

Wddo stands for Wexler doubled die. They are the listings for doubled die varieties that John Wexler has verified and can be found on his website
