Picked this up just a little bit ago, whats ya'lls opinions?

The Reverse of the coin really caught my eye with the detail.
Picked it up for VF price I think its XF or so

Very nice Barber Quarter. Looks AU to me, maybe AU-53.

Definitely closer to AU-details. I'm a bit concerned about the black area, but it may just be me.

Looks Solid AU53 to me and a fine specimen. The coin made letter in that year wasn't bad either.

WOW, I was thinking it was closer to AU 53/55 to me, but if you picked it up for VF money you are sitting well.

I would have to agree, AU, very nice find at VF money.

I wanted to give it a AU grade, the reverse def. deserves it. The only thing was the Obverse, looks like a little wear on the hair. I'm probably being too conservative. Gonna send it to NGC next week, i'll keep ya'll posted.

I'd go XF on this one. It has a very nice original look to it. Really nice pickup for vf money. :thumb:

I hate to rain on Joshy's parade :( , but I gotta tell it like it is: The coin looks borderline corroded to my eye (and from the photos). That said, the details are good, and VF price sounds about right for a coin with this much meat, and it is attractive despite the apparent shortcomings.

Bottom line: If Joshy likes it, more power to him! :)

I think he is refering to the 1916 SLQ and this is a great coin. I'd say somewhere around XF-45 to AU-53. Ethier way a great pickup for a VF price.

Very nice strike! I think the wear is c/w XF, it was probably stored in a folder for years and if sent to a TPG my guess is it would be assessed as having 'environmental damage'. I like it, though.

I know that the original pictures really aren't great, and its hard to tell exactly what it is.. I'll have the coin in hand on Monday to take better pictures.

Unfortunately some ebay sellers are often deceiving in their photos. Yes, the first photos I showed you all were not taken by me, but by the seller of the coin. However after receiving it, this is what the coin looks like.

Thankfully I didn't pay much for it. $45 after shipping/insurance if I remember correctly, but its obviously Cleaned and Corroded. But I should have known better. Anywho its still going in the dansco.

Perfect example of how decieving pics can be.
