1982 P SMALL DATE COPPER PENNY

    I know this pennies value is based greatly on its condition. Can anyone guess at what this coin would grade at?

    No problem. These later dates need to be almost perfect with no marks to have any value. It would be good for an album hole filler. If it was a RPD or something it might have a premium, but I am not seeing a listing for any varieties for the 82 copper small date from the Philadelphia mint.

    Yeah. PCGS has a Regular Strike MS65RB listed at $12

    And it would cost you at least $20 to get it into a PCGS slab to be worth $12 to another collector (retail).

    Are you sure it is Copper?
    Do you have a gram scale?

    1982 Cents were minted in both Copper and Copper plated Zinc Planchets

    3.11 grams for the copper
    2.5 grams for the copper plated zinc

    It teetered between 3 and 3.1
