Anyone that can give me some assistance here it would be greatly appreciated. The 1979 and 1981 Proofs of this cent have a "Filled" and a "Clear". I think it is the same as one of the Roosevelt proof in that it pertains to the "S" mintmark, is this correct? The other question is are the "Filled" considered the Type I or the Type II? Again, any help appreciated.
The 1981 filled S is type I, and the more common of the two and is worth what a typical proof cent goes for. The clear (type II) mintmark is one of the key dates for memorial cents, along with the 1970-S "high 7" variety and 1960 small date (excluding errors). I would expect to pay around $30-40 for the 1981 type II. The 1979 type II is only slightly less common than its sister. I would expect you could pick it up for around $5. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the site of the "S" mintmarks. I suppose it is play on words, my album has them listed as "filled" and "clear".
There is no such thing as an '81 filled S. In '79 there was a filled S (type 1) and a clear s (type 2). In '81 there was a type 1 and a type 2. Of course when they came up with the names filled S and clear S - '81 hadn't got here yet. That is why when the 2 varieties for '81 the names were changed for '79 - to avoid confusion just like this.
