Just received my first gift of the season... From me and to me.... And it’s a GTG for you... @C-B-D is exempt from this challenge!

I always have trouble with these coins, so I am erring on the side of caution. If I recall, these had a weak reverse strike, so I am going with AU-58 and have my fingers crossed. By the way, Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Yeah... She is rather unforgettable. But I reckon that exempts you from the GTG!

Is that wear or a weak strike on the obverse shield?

Hmm, ok; MS-64. Probably wildly off base here, but apart from the G-4 1867 with rays in my type set, I've never really dealt with this series much.

No clue really, but are those die polish lines on the reverse?

I am not 100% certain but I would say yes.

Are the radial die cracks at 3:30 and 6:30 connected?

Oh, and my guess is MS65.

I haven’t had the opportunity to study it that close yet. I left it locked up at my office so I wouldn’t be able to respond till tomorrow. But you are close

Not that bad of a weak strike, the stars are 90%+ full. Usually a
problem with these. My guess is 65.

About to do a family excursion to a dark field a few miles away to study the Jupiter-Saturn alignment. When I return, I will post the reveal.
