I just received this coin today! AJ purchased a MS 64 RB 1909 S VDB at the Long Beach coin show last Fall. Keep in mind he simply purchased it for me and didn't make anything on the transaction. I saw a MS 65 RB 1909 S VDB on his website and expressed my interest. To my surprise he offered me what I paid for the MS 64 RB 1909 S VDB from Long Beach. His response to this was "When I spend your money, I spend it as if it were mine. I thought the coin was worth it....period." Thanks AJ!!!!!! Now back to my New MS 65 RB 1909 S VDB. This coin is what dreams are made of. I think AJ's photos speak for themselves.
You know. . . this must be said: the 1909 S VDB is such a fabled, admired and desired coin that it really stands high among many collectors, even above coins with a higher price tag! It really IS the quintessential collectible coin.
Real nice. You cannot go wrong dealing with AJ. However, I am curious why you did not show us your new variety. That MS 64 RB 1090 S VDB must be a one of a kind!
LOL. Now thats an old Lincoln. I guess I should proof-read my posts better. Spell check doesn't work with numbers.
Wow, what a stunning coin - way to go! Looks like it's 95% red too! And big kudos to Jack for being so fair with taking back the MS64 - he is one of the best coin dealers I know, really!
Harry, that is one awesome S VDB! WOWSER! And a nice 36 DDO, I think that used to be Dans. Glad to see it's in good hands now.
Congrats Harry. Wanna trade with my dejected S VDB and maybe I'll buy you a nice dinner?? Ok, I'll throw in desert too!!
Harry- well you know how I feel about this coin (I asked you to pull this up under "Post some Lincolns"). As for Jack- can't say enough good things. Hung out with him this weekend. Might start a "AJ's the man" post. I think I will. Your coin is the king. Doesn't get any better unless you get a 66 which I don't think is worth it based on the obscene price jump. Though Charmy does have a ridiculously toned one that would rival. Anyway, were all jealous and I am happy for you. I say always rejoice in other's success. Never be jealous in covetous way. Successful people are that way by smarts, ambition, humilty and a lot of other good things. You are clearly doing something right to own a coin like that. The great spirit of capitialism at it's finest.Congrats.
