Please, does any member have a picture of a British George III sovereign to which they own the copyright.

I need one for a squidoo lens that I'm writing. Unfortunately I won't be able to pay for the picture but I would be willing to include a credit line.

Failing that, could anybody direct me to a royalty free image that I could use.

    Thank you

:eek:dd:On another note, if that is King George 111 in those pics, then why is he wearing olive leaves like he was a roman?

i really don't know anything about sovereigns either than I have seen one of them being made into a ring on BBC's Coronation Street.

George is not wearing olive leaves. He is depicted wearing a laurel wreath, which was an ancient Greek/Roman symbol of victory, usually athletic or martial.

Based on my limited knowledge of English history I would say that he would not have been entitled to wear such a wreath in the glory days of Greece or Rome.

BTW third generation is indicated by the Roman numeral III, not one hundred eleven.

Uncertain what value this comment brings, or why you felt this needed flagging, however this was a very informal response I slapped together while lying in bed with my lap-top.

How was the punctuation and sentence structure? Good god!!!
BTW, how do you spelling 'stuffie', and 'lusen up'?

Vince, find one you like on the Internet, then email the owners. Provided it also doesn't constitute a trademark, while they may not have a copyright waiver in their hip pocket, I don't think they're going to want to charge you anything for something like this. Just do an image search, and I'm sure you'll find a lot of these. Also, if they don't have one, find a copyright waiver for photographs and have them execute it, so now it's all nice and legal. Good luck. :)

That's a very useful resource even though they don't have the image I need. I'm sure I will find use for coinpage.com in the future.

I'm still searching for the royalty free image I need, but thank you to everybody who has taken the time to help me so far.
