I just recently got hit with an over-powering urge to collect American 1 cents. It started with saving the best that surfaced in my Canadian change, followed by searching through the biggest bargain bin you have ever seen at one of my dealers. Can any body comment on this seller I have below within this link? Do you think its a scam that this contains an 1909 VDB-S which from what I read they only minted approx 480K? Thanks for any advise http://www.pennies.com/repeat.htm
75 bags @ 199.00 ea with only one 09S VDB. this is almost $15000.00. I don't feel this to be a scam at all IMHO
I'll bet a dozen donuts your bag or my bag doesn't get an '09 svdb in it. Do yourself a favor and put the $200 on something more significant.
Seems like any typical Ebay lotto pull. If your just getting into Lincolns it may not be too bad for you. You'll be able to fill alot of holes with that bag and hopefully be able to resale some extras to get a little money back. IMO
Its a crap shoot, someone will get a beat up g-4 09 s vdb, and be reasonably happy with it, the rest of the people will not.
Thanks guys..I just gave it another thought...its coming from the US, and Im in Toronto...who knows what kind of implications that will have...evn shipping fees may be a bit high. Regardless thats quite the web page hes got, I got a gut check feeling that its best to pass.
OK then after you buy those let me know. I would like to sell you the Empire State Building. If you don't want that, I'll sell you Sears tower. Brooklyn Bridge has ready been sold by me.:goofer::hammer: THINK! Any tme you see a statement like UNSEARCHED WHEAT CENTS, just how would anyone know that they are all Wheat Cents unless they searched them all. If I tell you I have 10 Mercury Dimes in my pocket but I never looked at them, how would I know unless I looked? And in this instance are you planning on asking everyone that buys one if they got the 09S VDB? How would you ever find out if there REALLLY was one there? Do you think the person that got one is going to contact you and say "I got it, I got it, I got it"? You would be better off buying a pile of Beanie Babies in case that fad ever came back. Better yet buy stocks in buggy whip companies. The prices of gasoline and the prices of cars makes the outlook for the horse and buggy very promising.
A bag of cents is 5000 coins. I don't what this guy is calling a bag, but it looks like run-of-the-mill junque. If you would like to own an S-VDB, buy one. It's always better to buy the keys first (no one ever does) because they are the ones that cost more later. Paul
