Just saw the opening deal of coin country tonight. They were selling the new 2009 lincoln cents. One roll of each P & D plus two NGC certified Brillant Uncirculated slabs P & D for 29.95. Now the way I see it is you own $1.02 worth for around 30.00. Just what the heck is a certified BU cent. What a joke - no grade - just BU. I will go to the bank and save 29.00. If your going to slab something at least give it a grade :crying:
$30's not that bad of a deal. Just think what those would have run if they'd have been painted, or gold plated.
What is coin country? a dealer or an auction site? (I dont plan to buy just never heard of them) My bank does not know when they will be getting the new cents in. I too will be patient and wait to buy them at face
Burned. I can just see somebody walking into a coin shop toting along two NGC certified no grade 2009 cents stating that they paid 29.00 for them. The dealer is just going to say that all they have is two cents. If he was generous he might give 25 cents each but I could not see more. I would not pay anything for something like that. As I have said before TV coin shows only sell to the uninformed.
I think you are on to something let's get a roll and paint them up. We'll sell the for 29.99 each with numbered certificate of authenticity!! Don't wait a limited number will be produced and after they are gone no more will be made. It will be a coin that will surely be appreciate by both collectors and individuals and may increase in value! Don't wait get them today limit of 5 per household. If it works for coins with stickers why not painted coins? Ice
Just cool you heals a little, they will be everywhere. Just cool you heals a little, they will be everywhere. As far as grading the new Lincoln's do you'all really want to get me started?? My, my we have a lot of time for each and every one of you to know what I think about TPG companies and I promise "I will not let you down".
Never heard of that one. But at $29.99 it beats the $100.00 per roll that people who cant wait were paying a wekk or so ago.
