December 1672 is when Charles XI of Sweden became sole ruler of the country. Probably a token/medal that is commemorating that.

It's Sweden. likely a medal or token of a sort.
Should be Carl or Charles XI, and should be spelled CAROLVS XI, Not CAROL XI though, so I can be wrong. I think it was spelled this way on Dominion coins, like Dominion of Swedish Pomerania maybe....

reverse is latin I think, and best I can do with google translate:

"For the ENTERPRISE COMMISSION FICIO Agusta apparel Mater augustorum order of guardians and all bowl JOY"

I didn't get all words to work out, so maybe they relate to places, or things, or when the words are right means something else entirely. Augusta and Augustorum are variations of Augustus, as in like an imperial title I think like emperor or something. Sweden was an empire during this period, so could be following along those lines,

Maybe something like "for official business and handling by order of the guardians of the crown, all within rejoice" or something along those lines. maybe a commemorative of an event.

what I know from Wikipedia, Charles X died when Charles XI was 4 in 1660, and He was the only Heir, So the guardian thing makes sense as His mother, Queen Hedvig Eleonora, remained the formal regent until Charles XI attained his majority on 18 December 1672 but she stayed out of political affairs, and he would whisper to her and she would relate his questions and answers until he came of age to take the crown. the period of 1660 when Charles X died and 1672 when Charles XI attained his majority at about 16 years old is called "guardian government period" When the regents council acted in place of a king until he got older.

I'm not completely sure on any of it though as far as history goes, and I can't tell you if it's period correct, more modern, or a reproduction of something, a medal or a token a commemoration piece or what.

    It's definitely not a coin.

So, "For the ENTERPRISE COMMISSION FICIO Agusta apparel Mater augustorum order of guardians and all bowl JOY"

Enterprise would have meant more like "undertaking"
    Commission "instruction, command, or duty"
    ficio "make, do, fix, fasten"
    Agusta "some form of emperor"
    apparel
    Mater
Augustorum "some form of emperor again"
order of guardians and all bowl - "this would be the regents and all of the senate "bowl" I think. And still I'm probably not QUITE right but I'm close I think.

I think it commemorates Charles/Carl XI assuming his position in 1672, perhaps even like a notice token to send with messengers maybe to the Dominions? Needs a lot more research.
