The seller does not realize that it was overstruck on an equally rare Denver nickel. Look closely and you can see the mintmark. I hope my Secret Santa/ Elf on the Shelf gets this for me. I would carve out a "Special" opening in my Dansco for it.
I literally LOL-ed at this listing. Best I've seen in a while. The seller's feedback is kinda funny, too. Maybe that's a typo for "great", but I suspect it actually was meant to say "greasy".
With the "mint mark" over the dome of Monticello, that means it's silver too. Seller didn't mention that. An easy "cherrypick" . . . . . . Z
A few more of his listings. I think he might be a regular "contributor" to the Error Coins section. All crap.. The last item.. The "1955 Double Die" is actually a Poor Man's Doubled Die. Not really a Doubled Die variety but not worth what he's trying to sell it for It's so sad the amount of garbage that is listed on this site and others.
I also like this "authentic" nail---Highly Rare 33AD Original Nail From The Crucifixion Of Jesus | Etsy This is a truly remarkable Christian Antiquity, perfect for a serious collector or religious scholar. Authenticity Is Guaranteed. I purchased this about 30 years at an auction. Originally paid $34,000 for this rare piece, now that I’m near retiring I’m letting it go for $25,000.
Oh my Lord That's too funny! I also added that one to my cart Look at the message I just got. Even funnier!
Why are there two mint marks on the nickel.? One is on the right side of Monticello that looks like a "D".
The Denver Mint shipped some processed coins to New Orleans to have them over stamped for the coin collector trade.
