there will many people still not knowing between the collector's version and for general circulation. one cent proof and uncirculated cent with 95% copper is the one we are interested. not the zinc cent (97.5% zinc) with billions of pieces being produced for general circulation. i understand that there are none being offer as of now from the mint. only those intended for general circulation. and some people just don't know and hurrying to buy them at very high price from e-bay.

Will satin unc copper cents be in the commem (silver dollar) set? or will they be copper proofs? Or will they be a copper business strike coin (in which case they will be very valuable). My guess is that the business strike (zinc) cents will be the big money coins.

silver proof set, clad silver proof set, - this will be composed of copper proof cent. (95.0% copper)
mint unc set, - this come out with copper unc cent. (95.0% copper)
general circulation cents - this come out with zinc cent. (97.5% zinc)

I popped for three proofs Lincoln dollars and will buy three of the sets. The whole thing has gotten me a bit more excited about the Lincoln penny, but I still think it makes sense to eventually pull the plug on this denomination.

a dealer is giving away 1,000,000 pc of 2009 lincoln cent. that's mean 2009 lincoln cent for general circulated is worth one cent each. why buy it at e-bay $100.00 for a roll of 50 pc of lincoln cent?. it is worth 50 cent a roll. of course it will be another story for proof and blemish unc. cent. those will worth $2.50 to $5.00 a piece i think.

it look like the lincoln commemoratives silver dollar is not going to sell out. maybe because of weak stock market.

From your other post, you said it sold 170k or so... out of the max of 500k, take 50k out for set, you have 450k left.... for 1 week of sales, its not bad.

Spending 50% to 90% more than the mint is charging for a coin. Boy, that'll show the mint who's the boss.

Everything I've ever received from the mint was delivered to my mailbox by USPS. However, so far I haven't ordered anything more expensive than $100 or so...

One of the TV sleazemen has the Lincoln $ Proof 70 going for $145 and the MS 70 going for $135. Both graded by NGC in either single slabs or a set in a double slab. I haven't checked ebay yet.

I have had deliveries from the US Mint by Fedex that were just left at my door (one of them contained 10 silver proof sets) and was left when I was on vacation. However, after I called and asked them to require a signature for delivery, that hasn't happened again.

My two Proof were also shipped today. I'm glad to know that in the future I can require a signature.

The wartime silver nickels contained 9% manganese.
I ordered the unc. Lincoln dollar without a problem and I still have dialup.
I'm afraid of the proof developing spots or haze.
