Seems weird to me, too, that's why I asked. Just had to know, though. I guess when you buy the rolls, the bank comes out even, so they probably like it. Hey, keep it up...more power to you!

my father rolled about 500 dollars in quarters once and he went by the lines on a cheap coin counter and rolled 11$ in each

i was roll searching them (got a standing liberty no date and 1943 Washington) i ended up with 5 extra rolls.

Are you saying that he put four extra quarters in each roll? How could he even close the ends?

With the folding paper rolls it would be quite easy.

    Today I got a jackpot!

My habit has quickly progressed and I have 6 boxes lined up this week so far and may get a couple more. Started a month ago ordering boxes but find I can order more than I can handle and I don't know how much that is yet.
I went through 3 boxes this AM in an hour, also pulling all perfect rim coins to check on upgrading my coin books. I got skunked, not one silver. This hasn't happened since I started 19 boxes ago.
I have averaged 3-4 Kennedy 40 and/or 90%ers per box. If I get skunked on a box, I usually make it up on the next. It's like pulling the handle on a slot machine I'll bet only you never lose. I try and combine my businesses daily trips but I have to go to dump banks which adds time and fuel expense.
Well I dis find a bright shiney rim which raised my pulse but still don't know what I got. I think maybe the coin has been chromed possibly. A 1973D.
It is brilliant as a Maple Leaf or Sovereign but has circulation marks maybe under the chrome?
Well, I remembered the teller said she ordered four boxes and I had only had $1500 on me when I went to pick up the first three. I quickly dumped a $1000 worth and went to pick up box four. Glutton for punishment.
The teller asked if I wanted more tomorrow, I said no. I already have two more boxes coming from other banks on Thursday and the three no hitters had me hanging.
I had work to do until an hour ago and finally opened the box. I immediately saw two silver coins on roll ends. Uh oh!
With the first four rolls, I had 13 silver coins, my average was restored and I just started!
I ended up with 27 40%, 13 90% Kennedy's (64) and a 1937S Walker which went right in my books empty hole. In the four boxes I also found four tubes worth of some key dates to check on upgrading my books.
I now regret not getting more boxes ordered from the same place as I know how these run in batches. I will order four more boxes from that bank tomorrow hoping to stay with the batch.
Well the gun forums where I live always say "pictures or it didn't happen" so here are some poor photos.......
All coins in the "A" are 40% and the "g" has 14 90%ers and the odd 1973D coin.
The tubes are the cream of the clad.
    Enjoy.....

I got 4 rolls of dime last night!!

    I got the following:
    (2) 1964
    1991-D slightly off-center
199? looks like it was struck thru grease

The rest were just hole-fillers for a album.
I gave my little (age 11) cousin a 1909 - Present Lincoln Folder for x-mas.
The ablum had lots of wheaties and was almost complete from 1959-2008, he was
so happy to get the coins. He spend his allowance getting coins for the album.
Anyways I plan to give him the Roosevelt Dime album this year along with a state quarter frame completely done!!

Went through a box of halves yesterday (from a different bank) and got skunked after the "big haul" of 37 coins in one box.

Picked up four boxes from the same bank as the haul today and got 19 40%ers, no 90% Kennedy's but three nice Franklins and a VF-EF 41 Walker.

And LOTS of pretty coins to compare with my existing which will be some other night, this weekend probably.

    Good night all.

So I finally got to search a box of quarters. First roll, I found an Indiana proof. So far I have gotten 5 1983-Ps and a 1954. WOO! Time to get back to searching.
