Why doesn't the US Mint web-site list the American Silver Eagle Proof coin in the "product schedual"? Usually it's offered in early spring.
True. I had my 2008's in like mid-January last year. Mint having problems getting the silver blanks. Bet they mint even less in 2009 than they did in 2008.
I have subscriptions to these and I've usually gotten the proof in mid-january. It isn't even listed in the product schedule for this year.
I hear ya. The "W" mint Uncir usually comes out in Mar also. Neither of these are listed in the product schedule. These just may have a small mintage if they come out too late in the year. Might be a good idea to follow these and up the number of quantity on the subscriptions?
I called the US Mint and due to the production of the UHR's production is deleyed. the Proof and "W" Uncir eagles will be minted this year.
I spoke to the Mint on Friday about this issue and they told me that they do not known for sure when they will be minted yet. I asked if they could tell me why the delay. She said because of the production of the Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar and the Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Uncirculated Silver Dollar and the Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollars. My guess is that we will see them in the fall this year. CC
Products from the mint do not always come out at the same time each year. They may TEND to come out around the same time, but every so often one will come out at a radically different time than normal. That may then become the "normal" time in the future, or it may revert back. Basically they will come when they come.
I believe you are quite correct Conder. If memory serves (and I can't substantiate it because the mint "order history" option is still down:headbang ASE's used to come out in July or August in years past.
Agreed. Once you've subscribed, there is nothing worth worrying about. Come on, people, these are coins. Be thankful you aren't waiting for an organ donor.
