My reply was for Sal, considering he posts things that don't need to be posted, and it sometimes just bugs me. I am as confused as you, but expecting clear answers is sometimes futile.
@fred Weinburg I do agree with your assessment of damage done to the 60 both took a hit pushing medal up inside the loop, but as a Jefferson variety collector this is a classic 1960 bar variety nickel. Not a major variety by any means. But the OP orginial question deserved to be respected as they honestly came to Coin Talk for a legitimate answer to an honest question. What they got was an unprofessional responce ,from people who dont know squat, but Trolls threads over 50 plus post a day .....which is called "Crapping" a thread.
My apologies to the OP ,my intentions were to give you the correct answer to your question. You may also wish to google other posr on the 60 bar nicke varietyl. Paddy
Gee, I thought my post was respectful and legit. I didn't comment on the Bar due to the damage below the Bar.
BTW, if you want to contact Fred Weinberg, you gotta use @Fred Weinberg , @fred has not been seen since 2004.
Fred my message regarding post had nothing your assessment ,you always been respectful. I apologize if taken that way.....not directed towards you not at all. You and I have met before at shows....and I have high regards as to your knowledge. I tend to get a tad bit upset with others who disrespect honest questions...as well trying to bs someone about a coin they know absolutely nothing. We may disagree at times, but you are the go to guy on errors no questions asked.
