This coin was in such poor condition that I lost all hope..I didn't know which ruler it was..I put it in a mixture of vinegar and lemon juice for a few hours..I wiped it a little and the head of Agrippa began to appear..Now I have dilemma, whether to send it to a professional cleaner or to keep it in this mixture?

    AGRIPPA as, 11,5o gr

I know very little about ancient coins but my advice is to send it to a professional and have them clean it...

Will they even touch it now that it's been cleaned already ?

Looks like a toughie. You just have to ask yourself if it is worth it.

You should stop mixing chemicals and do an actual physical cleaning. Altough just a little, enough to see something.

Since you've come that far, I'd say strip it bare and see if there are more details hidden by the deposits and patina.

When a professional cleaner did all that could be done, the coin would not be worth the postage to send it back. These are not rare in presentable condition and this one is past hope.

I'd leave it. It looks pretty toasted already.

..idk...since i don't clean my coins too much and we can id it, i'd say leave it be...but, as they told Striker on the movie Airplane.."the choice is yours" :D the choice is your.jpg

It's already down to bare metal in many places. At this point you don't have to worry about saving original surfaces, so you might as well brush it with a wire brush to get the crud off.

I'd work on it with something like a tooth brush.

I'm with @seth77 - keep cleaning as long as the bare metal doesn't get worse.

I'd definitely not try a wire brush even brass. Plastic/fiber.

At this point, what do you have to lose? In for a penny, in for a pound.

strip it bare in a phosphoric acid solution and stabilize it in a sodium/water mix. All crud has gone by then.

I'm with these guys. You might as well get a Dremel and pick at the coin to see if there is anything there to clean. No matter what you do now, you won't get a straight grade. Most likely, they send it back to you in a bag.

For sale, it’s probably not worth it.

I like cleaning coins for my personal pleasure, and would have attacked this with lye first instead of vinegar.

At this point, if it was me, I’d dump into lye overnight. It should even out the pink. Some Jax brown and ren wax will make it look better, if not great
