Not sure what any of this is. Looks like a MD rim all the way around the obverse, With maybe a couple die chips. Any advice is greatly appreciated! DSC02508.JPG DSC02510.JPG DSC02512.JPG DSC02513.JPG DSC02517.JPG

A very, very minor MAD, imo,
and a couple of hits (not struck thru's.
in my opinion, from the photos)

What would cause the "secondary" inner rim? from lack of terminology. The area between the devises are raised.

    (MAD) misaligned die.

How is it a MAD when everything is symmetrical?

A slight MAD, which itbis causes what you see. Those are nicks as you can see the displaced metal.

The bottom of the coin only has one rim while the top appears to have two.

The 1 line looks like a die crack the other looks like damage. What Fred said...

So how does the second interior rim get created?

Misaligned die on 1 side... if it were on both sides it would be off-center. calling @paddyman98

1 of the dies was not lined up in the center.

I'm sorry, But I'm not seeing a MAD, If it were the rim would be smaller or none existent on one side pole of this coin. As I said everything is symmetrical!

Look by the date, then look above his head. It exactly as you describe.

The areas in question are between the red arrows DSC02512.JPG and the raised above the field areas between the yellow arrows!

red arrows ? yellow arrows left looks like a hit damage from circulation, yellow arrows right looks like a die crack (line).

Fred also told me this wasn't a die clash. So not very impressed with his coin expertise! DSC00881 (2).jpg
