That is a stunning penny of Edward I @Nap just a great example. It has such a nice full flan and good detail. The slight double strike on the Tennessee even adds to it. I think it really exemplifies how attractive Edwardian pennies can be.
@TheRed, I was Hoping you'd weigh in on this! Thanks to your repeated citations (...along with ones that show up elsewhere, whenever Edwards are concerned), Withers is looking more indispensible all the time. Your level of (don't throw anything Too ripe, Okay?) erudition is a ringing endorsement.
Well @+VGO.DVCKS I do love talking medieval English coins and since my wife just rolls her eyes at the subject you guys and gals have to pout up with me. I really can't recommend the Withers book enough. After a lot of frustration with the pennies of Edward I/II their book really helped me get a decent grasp on the coins.
