It is a very small coin, but I think you can see those clash marks from across the room.

 

This 1865 has interesting clash marks. I sold it when I was a dealer when I upgraded to the Proof, shown below. I wish I had kept it.

1862/1 3 CENT SILVER

 

I have a couple neat ones. Both bought for less than $20.

This one was 3 distinct sets of clashes from different die rotations.



This one s my favorite. 180° die rotation, 2 clashes in that orientation, and a massive rim cud on the obverse.

 

Here is a nice 1865 proof 3 cent. The mark on the reverse is on the slab.

 

I have an 1865 MS 66 that was clashed so hard you can read the date on the reverse. Can it be read on yours?

 

This is one I bought a few years ago, a bit of an oddity because it is a very low mintage 18k from the last year of it's minting. Most of the 1889 dated coins seemed to have been saved quickly and are found in uncirculated grades or the proofs of course.

 

I like the Littleton folders and ease of use. I might never finish the collection but still trying. Here are my 3's. Sorry but I'm not a good photographer. Still learning how to take coin pictures. Might try using my Sony Mavica Floppy Disk camera.
