  1. Found this Quarter in a jar of quarters. [​IMG]
    Looks like 1973 D Has copper color even the edge is color of copper. [​IMG]

    Do I have something here ? Or once again spinning my wheels!

    Does your quarter look something like this @Leonard Quick Sr? If it does look like the quarter below, it is environmentally damaged and only worth face value, I'm afraid.

    I can't see your Quarter.
    Usually all Copper is Environmental Toning damage.
    Exposure to the elements.
    Here are my metal detected examples.

    Happens to Nickels also since Clad coins and Nickels are composed of 75% Copper and 25% Nickel.

    No pics to look at but I believe it to be environmentally damaged. A copper planchet that large was last used by the US in Large Cents.

  9. I don't know if you have the same problems, BUT if something can go wrong , it will(murphy's law) No photos, they are probably floating around in Cyber Space somewhere. Thank you for the information about this Quarter. Looks just like your pictures.
