I don't recall posting this before but I may have. If I did please don't hold it against me. All I can think about is the daily pain from my left knee. The surgeon took x-rays and I'm bone on bone with a bone spur under my kneecap. I will be having surgery early next year. Only a partial replacement. I picked these up in May of this year. The first one is dated 1937, the year Dad's Root Beer was introduced. The second one is a 1953-D. I've never seen the likes of such before. A novel idea having a Cent enclosed into the bottlecap of a soft drink.
Great goal, 38,000. When I was a kid my grandmother would sit in her big old chair. I would ask for something and she said she couldn't get up because she has a bone in her knee. I always felt sorry for her. Now I find that some people do actually have a bone in their knee. Good luck with getting it fixed.
About 19 years ago the right knee was a total replacement. Now a partial for the left. My mother told me never to grow old but I just don't listen. She passed 5 years ago, just a few weeks shy of 98. She said growing old was the hardest thing she ever did and she was correct.
Does anybody know what these were initially used for? They're great advertising pieces for the company to hand out.
